Our mission involves the mixed programming of social housing and a boiler room. Aligned with the commitment to a more sustainable city within the LaVallée eco-district, the integration of a boiler room within the area is a key component for producing renewable energy for the benefit of the residents. Spread across three buildings, the housing units are designed to provide comfort and quality of life for the residents. The architecture draws inspiration from the surrounding nature, featuring geometric volumes and a soft color palette. The wooden joinery adds warmth to the façades as well as the interiors of the apartments. The façade finishes alternate between light green and dark green stained concrete for the social housing, in harmony with the boiler plant. The intermediate housing building will feature a sand-colored lime plaster finish. Concrete frames will accentuate the large openings. The housing units overlooking the urban farm, referred to as collective houses (two stacked duplexes), are designed with a concrete post-and-beam structure and a FOB façade dressed in terracotta tiles.
