The 93 unit housing project in Villejuif, located within the ZAC Campus Grand Parc, is part of a wider metropolitan development driven by the arrival of the Grand Paris Express. Positioned between Avenue Salvador Allende and the Parc du 8 Mai 1945, the project is set within a strong urban and landscaped context, with careful attention given to topography, views, and biodiversity. Two hexagon-shaped buildings, rising to 6 and 8 storeys plus an attic level (R+6+A and R+8+A), offer all apartments dual orientation and unobstructed views.
At the heart of the site, a landscaped courtyard designed as a micro urban forest ensures continuity with the adjacent park, supports urban cooling, and contributes to sustainable rainwater management. The buildings use a concrete post-and-slab structural system combined with off-site prefabricated façades made of timber frames and hempcrete, providing excellent insulation, thermal mass, breathability, and low carbon impact. The building envelope is finished with a lime-sand mineral render.
Each apartment includes a generous private outdoor space and high-quality living conditions: abundant natural light, adaptable layouts, dedicated work areas, and strong thermal comfort. The project combines environmental performance, innovative construction methods, and a high standard of living—addressing the challenges of tomorrow’s urban life.
